Central Injection Agri On REX Radio

Central Injection Agri On REX Radio

The Central Injection Agri team was thrilled to speak with the Rural Exchange team and spoke about what we do at Central Injection Agri. If you didn’t previously know, the CIA spreads muck and injects slurry throughout the whole of Canterbury, including North Otago.

We are based in Pleasant Point, but a majority of our work is supporting farms in Mid Canterbury, including Ashburton, Mayfield, Mount Somers and the surrounding farmlands. We also travel as far as Oxford and Rangiora in North Canterbury and as far south as North Otago.

Once we get to an area to spread or inject slurry for one of our clients, more often that not, we are approached from neighbouring farmers, as they can see what an awesome job our equipment and staff provide.

The radio interview highlights how Tom has a passion for slurry, he sees slurry as a huge opportunity for farmers to not only save money in off farm fert inputs but also as a huge benefit for the actual soil.

Including:

  • Faster turnaround of paddocks
  • No leaching
  • Less Damage to your laneways through heavy machinery usage
  • Very little soil compaction as our heavy machinery are on floating tyres
  • No waste
  • No smell
  • Faster grass growth

The interview refers to the Veen Huis Rotomax as one of CIA Ltd’s “Crowning Implements” The fact that this specific machine is one of only two in all of New Zealand is what has farmers talking, and it is also what sets CIA apart from the competition.

The Veen Huis Quantra Pump unit has an 11,000-litre effluent capacity. The Rotomax hose reel is roughly 2.6 km long. Additionally, the “Premium-ject 1200” injector has 60 distinct discs and is 12 mm wide, which cuts the soil for the slurry to be injected into.
