Ag Contractors North Canterbury
We are a Mobile Agricultural Contractor that covers all of Canterbury including Mid Canterbury (Ashburton), North Canterbury and South Canterbury.
Although we do the traditional solid muck spreading and pond stirring – it’s the precision of our slurry Injection System that has got many of our dairy farmers excited.
The pride of the stable is the Veen Huis Rotomax, which includes the premium-ject 1200 injector, the 2.6 km long Rotomax hose reel, and the Veen Huis Quantra Pump unit, which can carry up to 11,000 litres of effluent. The premium ject comprises 60 distinct discs that are each 12 mm broad. Each disc creates a tiny hole in the earth, and 60 tiny tubes feed effluent into the holes before they are filled with the dirt.
When Central Injection Agri comes to North Canterbury, Tom brings with him the John Deere 7250R to pull the Rotomax. The tractor is equipped with an RTK GPS, while a Deutz Fahr 9340 TTV tractor drives the pump. Via radio communication, the premium ject and pump communicate with one another. One of the best things about this system is that it can pump between 180,000 and 200,000 litres of slurry an hour! Due to the absence of a big tractor across the paddock, there is little soil compaction.
In 13 hours, Central Injection Agri can pump 2.5 million litres of pond wastewater.
The Rotomax system has a wide operating range. The hose connecting to the pump extends up to 530 metres, and the pump may transport wastewater to the injector up to 2.6 kilometres distant from an effluent pond. As an actual example, if you start in the middle of an 800 metre paddock, you can complete the entire length in an one sweep while picking up the hose on the way back.
The need for greater accuracy and less waste in farming is rising, and once farmers realise the advantages and cost savings of using their own slurry, the Veen Huis Rotomax will practically sell itself!
